THE UNLIVING

You and I, we complete each other. I will be the eyes when you cant see and you will be the feet when I cant walk. We maybe different, but we complete each other...
BEST FRIENDS WITH SIMILAR TALENTS ?? "SAKKI... RUN!!!RUN, SAKKI!! DONT LOOK BACK!!!" Khalila keep on shouting at Sakki, warning him. But Sakki freezes, standing there with his eyes locked at the corner of the rooftop. Khalila is horrified to see him in daze, keep on walking, towards the edge of the rooftop as if he doesn’t hear her screaming his name at all. Khalila is tense, but she doesn’t give up, she runs towards Sakki while at the same time, keeps on shouting; “No! No... you cant do that to him!! DONT DO THAT TO SAKKI!!” Khalila is panting, tense; sweat flowing from her forehead as she finally gets a hold on Sakki. She grabs his left hand with her right hand and then covers his eyes with her left hand. And immediately Sakki jolts. As his vision darkened when Khalila blindfolds his eyes with her hand, Sakki can see the real form of the girl in front of him. Sakki is horrified to see the half crushed head of the girl, her head is leaning to her left as if trying to hold the dangling right side of her face from falling off. She is bloody, even as she slowly stretches her hand to Sakki, as if begging for him to help her. But Sakki retreats and moves away from the edge of the rooftop. Khalila who is still standing behind him, can see the faint pale blue aura, floating in front of Sakki and she shouts with all of her might "LEAVE SAKKI ALONE!! YOU ARE UN-LIVING!! LEAVE THE LIVING!!” And then Khalila hugs Sakki from behind and its as if their powers unite, a blinding white light emerges from their body, radiating and the rooftop is covered with the white light, engulfing the pale aura in front of them. And along with that, a strong gust of wind, hits them. It’s so strong that they both fall to the ground. After a while, they get up and look around, realizing that the un-living has disappeared. Khalila looks at Sakki and asks him "You see anyone, Sakki?" She is not yet sure that the Un-living is no longer around them. Sakki shakes his head and he looks at Khalila, asks her "You sense anything, Lila?" Khalila takes a deep breath and her eyes scan around the rooftop and other roofs of the neighboring buildings. After a while, she heaves sigh of relieve and looks at Sakki "No...no one is here, but us. Not even the Un-living." Sakki then takes Khalila's hand and they leave that place. That moment is only one of the thrilling and terrifying moments Khalila and Sakki have to face together. Both of them are bounded by a similar fate; they are able to see what others can’t see. But their powers are different from each other. SAKKI, THE CLUELESS Sakki is a 19 years old Japanese - Indonesian boy, an outcast among her peers, because of his ability. Sakki can see ghosts. But he never thought of them, as ghosts since he sees them in a good form, the living form, just like living human. He can’t differ them from living human. And because of his ability, people around him ostracized him. He never had friends since they often saw him talking alone; they think there’s something wrong with his head, even called him a freak. Sakki have no problem at all with that, he realized that he is different from his friends. But Sakki’s ability worries his parent so much that they even once took him to a mental institution to meet a psychiatrist when he was 8 years old. They were afraid that their only son has a disturbed mind. But they were shocked by what the psychiatrist said. She found nothing wrong with Sakki. He was just another normal kid, with imaginary friends. However, what the Psychiatrist doesn’t know is, Sakki's 'friends' aren’t imaginary friends. And for years, Sakki kept on talking to his unseen friends, without even realizing that the ‘friends’ didn’t belong to this world. KHALILA, THE SENSITIVE Meanwhile, Khalila is a 17 years old girl, who is a sensitive. She can sense and see aura of the 'unseen' or in her own word; the 'UN-LIVING'. She wasn’t born with the talent. She was 6 years old when her parent’s car fell off a cliff. Her parent didn’t make it and she was in coma for almost a year. When she finally came out of coma, she started seeing blobs of blue lights, floating around people. Some of the light, attached to certain people and some others only following them. She didn’t realize what these blobs of light at first, kind of amazed with them. She even played catch with them, thinking that they were nothing but fireflies. But then, one day, she saw one of the bulbs of light, floating around her aunt; her mother’s younger sister who is also her legal guardian. Her aunt became quieter and often spent time alone, talking to the bulb. She saw how the bulb getting brighter each day and her aunt became weaker and sicker. The smart Khalila soon realized that it was the bulb that caused her aunt’s illness. In her own innocent way, Khalila tried to warn her aunt, shaking her when she started talking to the bulb of light, tried to pull her away when the aunt ignored her. The Aunt, mistakenly thought that Khalila was acting out, creating scene to get attention. And at one moment, she lost patience and snapped at her. Khalila shocked and hurt with the way the aunt treated her. She ran away from her aunt’s home and fell asleep on her parent’s graves, crying. And there, she realized what her power really is. While she was asleep, the blob of light that followed her aunt, hovered around her and seeped into her. And it was then, her mother came into her dream. Her mother consoled her and apologized for scaring her. it was never her intention. All that she did was trying to get into the aunt's mind and warn Khalila about the ability she has, something that makes her special for the rest of her life. Khalila was in tears, trying to hug her mother but she couldn't. She woke up with the sound of her aunt, calling out for her as she ran around in the graveyard, frantically. Ever since that day, the blob, the aura, no longer a threat for Khalila. she called them the Un-living. and she constantly avoiding them her entire life, pretending that she cant see them but she cant pretend forever. For years, Khalila thought that she was the only one with the ability. But then, she met Sakki. NEW FRIEND, NEW BEGINNING The first time she met Sakki, she realized that she can no longer pretend that she cant see the un-living. She saw a pale blue aura, hovering around Sakki and she noticed something wasnt right with Sakki. As the aura followed Sakki everywhere and Sakki talked to it, at the same time, Sakki was getting weaker and weaker. Khalila stalked Sakki, while at the same time, planning on what to do to alert Sakki, how dangerous it is to hang around with the un-living, even befriends with one of them. But it wasn’t easy for Khalila to convince Sakki about his bad companion. Sakki himself, aware that someone stalked him. That day, Sakki was on his way to college and Khalila followed him. Khalila tried to find a chance to talk to Sakki. Sakki walked inside the library and Khalila immediately rushed behind him. but just as Khalila walked through the door, a hand grabbed her and pushed her against the wall. Khalila jolted and before she could say anything, Sakki already shouting questions towards her; who is she; what the hell was she doing, following him around; if she is one of those people his parent sent to watch over him, and so on. Sakki’s face was right in front of Khalila, Khalila hold her breath, her heart beating fast as if it was going to jump out of her chest. As her nervousness gathers, Khalila pushed Sakki away and shouts; “GET OFF OF ME!!” she shouted so loud that everybody in the library turned and looked at both of them and there was an awkward silence between them. and its then, Khalila saw an aura, floating towards Sakki. Khalila immediately pulled him out from the library, Sakki turned and what he saw was a girl, walked towards him and waved her hand. Sakki was about to walk to the girl but Khalila pulled him away from there. From Khalila’s point of view, there wasn’t any girl there, just an aura, floating faster towards Sakki. They got outside and just as Khalila was about to show Sakki what he really saw, Sakki yanked her hand off his arm and yelled at her, firmly told her to stay away from him. Khalila worried to see Sakki walked back into the library. She chased him but Sakki already told the security guard to stop her from entering the library. Khalila panicky, she shouted, warning Sakki but Sakki ignored her. he walked back into the library. Khalila couldn’t get inside but she is a persistent girl, that’s who she is. So she walked to the back of the building, trying to get into the library through the window. and as she searched for an open window, she saw Sakki, sat next to a glob of pale blue aura and its slowly became brighter. Sakki himself, didn’t realize, he laughed and talked with the ‘girl’ sitting next to him. Khalila was increasingly worried about Sakki, knowing that the Un-living he befriended with, was feeding off Sakki’s mortal energy. And if this continue, Sakki would be under this un-living control and it would end up possessing him. However, she needed to find another way to warn him about that ‘girl’ he often talked to. And then, Khalila finally found that chance. That night, Sakki was sitting in the park and just as usual, he was talking to the Un-living sitting next to him, at one time even laughing at some joke. And as he laughed, thin mist emerged, floating towards the Un-living and then Sakki felt dizzy. Khalila watched over Sakki from behind a tree, tensed as she could see the bright blue aura floating on the bench next to Sakki has turned white. Khalila worried that the Un-Living could possess Sakki anytime. “It’s the time!” Khalila said to herself. She walked to Sakki, clenching her first as she ran towards Sakki. But to her shock, before she even grabbed a hold on him, Sakki turned, stared at her and told her to get lost. A reaction Khalila had expected before. She knew that the Un-living would do anything to prevent her from warning it’s human target. Khalila firmly told Sakki, “NO… This time, I am not going anywhere!” Sakki furious, staring at her in anger. But as he got up, he coughed, stumbled as he tried to get up and walked to Khalila. Khalila was tense but she didn’t move, stood there in front of Sakki. And as Sakki swung his hand to grab a hold on Khalila, his head suddenly spinning and then he fell to the ground. Sakki didnt understand what was going on with him, his vision blurred, as if there was mist blocking his sight. Khalila could see a faint blue aura coming out of Sakki’s body. Sakki’s soul was slowly moving out of his body. And at the same time, the bright Aura, floating towards Sakki. Khalila realized that the un-living was about to take possession on Sakki's body. She couldn’t take any chance, she jumped over Sakki’s lifeless body. And immediately, a bright light emerges from them and the bright aura of the un-living, thrown backward and broke apart with the mist. Khalila tried to revive Sakki, shook him, pat him on his face. And as she tried to revive Sakki, a yellow light flowing from her hand to Sakki. And the color of Sakki’s face change, he opened his eyes and saw Khalila in front of him. Ever since then, Sakki’s life changed. For a few days, he became paranoid, refused to leave his room or meeting anyone but his parent. He couldn’t believe his own eyes as he realized that his eyes fooled him throughout the 19 years of his life. he fell into a depression and tried to commit suicide. He left his room, much to his parent relief; they thought that their only son has gain his confidence back. But they never thought of what Sakki was planning to do. Sakki walked along the railway track, looking down, he could see lines of people on both sides of the track, all looking normal. But Sakki realized that they are the Un-living, they are just remnants of energy left by the people who died on the railway track. No one in their right mind would stand on both sides of the train track, even standing in the middle of the track just like him. But Sakki’s mind was already clouded with the thought that his own body betrayed him, making him seeing things that are not real. The loud and long sound of train horn somehow sounded eerie on Sakki’s ears. He took a deep breath, closed his eyes as the train moved closer towards him. He clenched his hand, feeling the beam of light from the train slowly hit his face. To him, it felt like forever, it was as if the train moved in slow motion. And just when he was about to get hit by the train in anytime, a pair of hands pushed him off the track. Sakki rolled down, a look of shock and disbelief on his face as he saw the train, speeding in front of him. In between the gap of the speeding train car, he saw someone, KHALILA. From his point of view, Sakki could see Khalila pant and stared straight at him, looked so frustrated. And immediately after the train moved away, Khalila ran towards him, pulled him up and yelled at him, “WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!! YOU TRIED TO KILL YOURSELF?! YOU WANTED TO BE A PART OF THEM, WANDERING AIMLESSLY, HAUNTING THIS STUPID TRAIN TRACK?! DON’T YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR PARENT!??” Sakki froze, standing there, couldn’t believe himself that a girl he just met, yelled and scolded him. Khalila became impatient with Sakki’s reaction. She grabbed him by his shoulder and turned him, pointing at every blob of aura floating along the train track. On Sakki’s point of view, he saw people standing along the track, men and women, all of them were looking at him, they all looked normal. Khalila then snapped again at him, “You want to see what you will really look like if that train hit you? I will show you!” and before Sakki could react, Khalila already put her hand on Sakki’s face, blindfolded him and Sakki gasped as he saw what those people really look like, the horrible state that they died. Sakki retreated and terrified, stumbled as he ran from there. Khalila turned and stared at the blobs of aura, floating along the train track, frustrated as she turned and chased Sakki. As he ran, Sakki stumbled and fell on his knees. He broke down, cursing himself for what he almost did. Khalila came there, standing behind Sakki and watched him sobbing. Khalila slowly walked towards him and kneeled in front of him. Khalila took his hand and he looked up at her, Khalila hold his hand and said to him, “We have the same fate, Sakki. I also can see the Un-livings. Difference is, I can only see their energy. But you can see them, but in a good figure that you want to see. Because you are a good person, you only want to see the good in everything. And they take advantage of that. They are still here because they have unfinished business and they want to use you. But most of them are not good and that’s where your life is in danger.” Sakki looked at her, looking lost and confused, “So… I will die anyway? Then what’s the point of you stopping me back there??” A firm look on Khalila’s face as she looked at his eyes and she said, “Everybody will die, but not by taking your own life! That’s the most coward thing to do! We both have this ability attached to us, and we have to live with it whether we like it or not. I didn’t meet you by accident, Sakki. You pulled me to you!” Sakki was taken aback to hear what she said. “What do you mean?” Khalila replied, “I saw you in my dream and I saw you surrounded by pale blue auras, and you were reaching out to me. That’s why I came looking for you. You asked my help and I will help you.” Khalila helped Sakki to get up and Sakki somehow felt relieve. That’s how, Sakki and Khalila ended up become good friends. And since then, Sakki changed, he became a happier person and his parent is so grateful to Khalila. Their friendship, shook the world of the Un-livings. They cant accept that their only ‘channel’ to the world of the living – Sakki- is out of their reach because of Khalila. And they are planning to break them apart but they always fail because Khalila makes Sakki sees their real form. THE LIGHT THAT BELONGS TO THE DARK But then, this new Un-living appear. She is Cahaya, or Aya. She is the only Un-living with an angelic face because that’s the state she died. She left the world of the livings after being seriously ill for the last 5 years of her life. A deadly and incurable virus ate her away, made her unable to enjoy her teenage years. And it was all because of a jealous friend, mixed her drink with the virus sample she got from some lab, not knowing that the virus would be so deadly that put Aya in hospital for 5 years. The friend disappeared, afraid of the consequences she has to face because of what she did to Aya. Aya kept her grudge to the friend, every single day. She even swore to herself that she would find the friend even after she died. She eventually died, peacefully in her sleep. But her soul, is not at peace. She kept her promise, tracking down the friend who made her ill, slowly killing her in 5 years. As she was about to move on, floating outside the morgue, she stopped to hear her mother’s wailing, calling out her name. She turned and hesitantly walked through the thick wall of the morgue. She hovered there, froze as she saw her mother, crying, hugging her lifeless body. she slowly moved towards her mother, tears flowing from her eyes as she saw her mother looking so miserable. She couldn't bear herself to see her mother like this, she vowed, she will find whoever responsible for what happened to her, for her illness, for making her mother this miserable. As Aya wandered alone, trying to find the friend who killed her, she met with the Un-living who failed to posses Sakki, it called itself as Ulan. Aya got terrified because of Ulan’s horrible form; half her head is smashed. Ulan herself amazed to see Aya’s angelic look, never thought that Aya is also an Un-living like her. The naïve Aya, thought that every Un-living would look like her, normal like the livings. Ulan laughed, told her that those who wandered around between the two worlds like them, appeared in the last state they died. Ulan died in a car crash, that's how she got her form. While Aya, seemed like she died peacefully, in her sleep, and someone like her doesn't supposed to hang around between two worlds. Aya told Ulan what happened to her, her grudge and her vow to find those responsible for what happened to her. Ulan came up with a sinister plan, to get a hold on Sakki and to fool Khalila, using Aya, the Light that belongs to the Dark.
